On April 22, I will be presenting on my new social enterprise business at the Global Health and Innovation Conference. Herban Crafts, a spin-off of Herban Lifestyle, is a for-profit business with a social mission of providing job and social skills training to unemployed women.
I just made several bibs with the Lorax organic fabric. I'm usually not so fond of "celebrities", but the Lorax story carries such a beautiful eco-conscious message that I had to. I'm planing also to add a few matching placemats for kids (or big kids !) pretty soon.
I am making bee houses...and soon out, ladybug houses!
I'm very excited to have been invited to be a vendor at a local zoo, that will put on a big celebration for Earth Day, with emphasis on local, organic and sustainable products. This, in combination with
kidding, is one of the reasons I've been extremely busy lately. Trying to plan for what to bring and what to make, and if I have everything needed. Will have to give and update and pics of this at a later date, but needless to say I'm very excited.
